Allow for identified risks
Create a separate line for each genuine uncertainty, such as unknown soil, difficult access, slab repairs or price validity. Do not present one contingency percentage as universal; explain every provision.
Save the version and update it
Date prices, retain quantities and assumptions, then replace estimates with quotations or invoices. Track planned budget, committed orders and final cost separately.
